Welcome to the sneak peek of the laundry room makeover you never thought would actually come! In case you missed it, here’s the laundry room makeover process so far. Even though it has technically been done for almost a year, there are still a few last-minute details that I’d like to get to before the full reveal – like that drying rack that’s still on backorder.
My mom ran a tight ship. She was a housewife in the early 60s and her housekeeping skills were on point. Never a dish left in the sink, laundry always fresh, sheets were ironed!
Sometimes I get frustrated because I can’t keep house like she did and then I remember that I come from an entirely different generation. My life, my job (sometimes plural) is very different from hers. So this laundry room makeover was important to me because it functions so much better than it did before.
The one thing I can do like my mom is keeping the laundry smelling fresh…even with cats and a teenager.
There’s nothing better than crawling into a bed with clean, fresh smelling sheets, amiright?! Typically mine aren’t ironed like my moms but they are fresh and clean.
I do get a little extra help from Gain fireworks!™ in-wash scent booster.
Fresh Water Sparkle™ is exclusively available at Dollar General available in Gain Liquid Laundry Detergent, Gain Dryer Sheets, Gain Liquid Fabric Enhancer/Softener, and new Gain flings!™ laundry pods and Gain fireworks!™ in-wash scent booster.
This scent not only makes my home smell fresh but it keeps my new laundry room smelling fresh and clean, too. Trading out that linoleum for tile didn’t hurt either!
But the best part of having a splash of Fresh Water Sparkle™ in every wash? It’s my home now having that same fresh and clean feeling that my home did growing up. And keeping that teen room makeover smelling as fresh at it looks!
I cannot wait to share all of the details of this new laundry room makeover with you.
Including how I now have a space for everything that I need but no extra wasted space for stuff that I don’t.
I cannot tell you how much more motivated I am to do laundry in a space that not only looks great and functions so much better but smells amazing, too.
And now I wish I had the energy my mother had because she could keep an amazing house and tile a floor…all in the same day. At least, for this week, my laundry is done and we are almost finished putting that new flooring in the master bedroom (which I’ll be doing for the One Room Challenge next month).
Meanwhile, the laundry room makeover reveal will be live at the beginning of October. Hopefully, my drying rack will have arrived by then!
