Every summer I tell myself: The summer will be my downtime. A little time to relax, a little time to get caught up and a little time to take a breather from….everything. It never. ever. happens.
This week as I prepare to go to the amazing Haven Conference – and I am SO excited, let me tell you! – but I am never more aware of how un-relaxed I am and how little I managed to accomplish over the summer.
{School starts for us on Aug 1 so my dream dies yet again this year}
For example, I am acutely aware of the fact that we have not yet finished our office even though we’ve been steadily working on it for about a month now. Knowing I can grab some fun and modern art prints from Minted.com makes me excited about finally putting those finishing touches on our office when I get back from Haven.
