HomeRight Fine Finish Paint Sprayer Review & Big Boy Room Sneak Peek

Pin It

Are you even close to being ready for the holidays? I am not. That’s probably because I am {as usual} in the middle of about a million projects. I’m always looking for ways to streamline my projects especially when I’m working on redoing an entire room and especially when I’m working with paint. Sometimes the look that is required is all about the hand painted, careful brush strokes and one of kind appearance and sometimes it just about getting the job done!

That’s why recently, when turning our nursery into a big boy room, I enlisted some help to paint our custom built bookshelf. We built one for both our boys’ rooms. The lovely green one, pictured here, we did for the nursery back in 2010.
{Side note: ever look back at a room you decorated and wonder what the heck you were thinking? Yeah. Me too.}
I was so excited to receive the Finish Max Fine Finish Sprayer from HomeRight because it meant that I could start and finish this project in just minutes instead of days.
Like I said, sometimes it’s about a custom finish (and when you see the reveal of our Nursery to Big Boy Room, you’ll see a couple of those!) but this project was just about changing out that green color for something that worked for our new room. That and getting a nice, smooth, even finish.
It can be a little intimidating to work with a sprayer the first time but I promise you, if you can operate a spray paint can, you can operate a sprayer. In fact, it’s actually easier.
I used some left over paint from our wall treatment {that you get a sneak peek of here!}. It was a sample from Sherwin Williams in Satin. You can also use this paint sprayer with chalk-based paints and milk paints.
In order to use it with a sprayer you need to thin the paint out. I’m not a big fan of chemicals so instead of paint thinner I used……wait for it……WATER! Yep. It’s water based paint so I used water to thin it. There’s a handy guide and drip-tester that comes with the sprayer for you to test whether the paint is thinned enough to use in the sprayer.
It literally took 10 minutes to complete this project from start to finish. All I had to do was wait for the paint to dry. OMG.
And the best part is the smooth, sleek and even finish.
Just look at that! No green left behind and no drips either.
And the Finish Max Fine Sprayer is designed for use with stain and polyurethane which makes it extremely versatile. It’s also electric so you just plug it in. No need for an air compressor and it retails for only $89.99! What project or projects would you love to get done quickly with the Finish Max Paint Sprayer?

*I received the HomeRight Finish Max Fine Finish Paint Sprayer to review and share my experience with you. Opinions are 100% my own.
