The Southern Bloggers Conference

I don’t know what I’m more excited about: 1) Sleeping in a room all by myself where no one will snore or wake up in the middle of the night screaming, MOMMMMMYYYYY, 2) the swag bag or 3) Maison Blanche Paint Company’s Annie will be on hand and I am bringing all my money and just handing it over to her. Did I mention I get to sleep. all. by. myself.

So this is how it went down. Over the summer I noticed all the blog people going to this great blog conference in Atlanta – just 4 hours from me. They tweeted about it. They facebooked about it and they made me jealous. I said, next conference, I’m there! Last month I see this Southern Blogger’s Conference pop up on my Facebook and I said, Hey I’m Southern. I’m a blogger. That’s for me. Then I waffled. Should I go? I’ve got too much to do. Shouldn’t spend the money. I’ll think about it. I’m not going. Well, maybe…

Then they did this, “Calling all Bloggers and DIY enthusiasts – its getting down to the wire. We only have about 20 tickets left to sell. If you are even remotely thinking about attending, now is the time to get your ticket before they are all sold out!…” on their Facebook page and I’m all like, Crap! If I’m gonna go, I better decide now. So I call the husband and try to tell him I’ve decided but he doesn’t pick up the phone. {Shocker} And I think, Well, If I wait to talk to him they might be all sold out and I’ll blame him forever. And I’ll have to sit here and watch as they tweet and facebook about it all over again.

Not gonna happen.

BAM! I’m there!

On a side note, I didn’t realize Raleigh was soooo far away. Any of you guys have a private jet plane I can borrow for the weekend? I don’t think I’ve ever been in a car for 7 hours with myself. And only myself. What on earth will I do??

So. If you’re going and you don’t snore or wake up in the middle of the night screaming, MOMMMMYYY, {Hey. I’m not judging. I just need sleep.} Come and find me and say, Hi!

Hi Jamie! I’m also a total last minute registrant to the blogging conference. I’m so excited to meet everyone, and learn so much from all you far more experienced bloggers!

I hope your 7 hour drive isn’t too bad.

Hi Danielle & Jennifer! Thanks for stopping by. This is my first conference so I’m sure I’ll learn a lot. So excited!

The other conference I referred to was the Haven Conference in Atlanta.

I didn’t even know about the conference until last week when I saw it on someone’s blog. The word Raleigh caught my eye as it is practically my backyard. Bless your heart for driving seven hours. by. yourself. You’ve got guts, girl. I’m beyond excited to meet everyone. See you there! 😉
