The Best of 2013 Furniture Revivals | A Revival Review

It’s always fun to have a look back at your year. To see that you’ve gotten more done than you thought you did, to see your style evolve and to start the new year off feeling accomplished.

2013 was a crazy year and when I look back I can’t believe all of the things that took place in the space of just 365 days. Some good. Some bad. All of them making me who I am today.

The following furniture revivals are in order from January to December of this year. Which is your favorite?

A 1940s Vanity Revival

This one was fun with the crisp white with a pop of pink peeking out of the drawers. It was a lot of work but made for a gorgeous revival. See the process it went through complete with before and after photos, here.

Custom Built Pottery Barn-Style End of Counter Bookshelf
My client approached me about building a bookshelf for the end of her kitchen counter. It couldn’t be too big or it would interfere with the entrance to her kitchen. Too small and it wouldn’t give her the extra space she needed. She how it worked for her kitchen, here.
Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint Yellow Dresser

If you’ve been around for even a minute you probably know that my love for Milk Paint runs deeps. And this yellow is one amazing color. See the before and after photos, here.

Anthropologie-Style Typography Chest of Drawers

And speaking of Milk Paint love, this one is done in my very favorite shade of gray. I loved it so much I ended up buying it from myself! For more before and after photos of this piece click, here.

So see where I put it after I brought it home with me {and subsequently modeled an entire room in my house after it} click, here and here.

French Provincial Desk & Hutch

Not that it took this post to prove it but I am becoming increasingly aware of my obsession for gray! When it’s paired with coral {or let’s be honest, ANYTHING} it is amazing! And I’ll bet you’d never guess how that hutch got its pop of coral – find out, here!

Two-toned French Provincial Dresser

Two-toned. French Provincial. Gray.

Oh you had me at two-toned. Or French Provincial. Or gray.
See the before and after photos here – then try and not have your mind blown over how I achieved the finish on those amazing pulls!

Antique Sideboard Updated with Color

Sometimes all you need to do, to brighten things up, is to just add a little color. Like green! But not just any green. She started out sort of drab until I pulled her up through the spectrum. To see her before click, here.

Entryway Bench for A Small Space
They don’t say dynamite comes in small packages for nothing! Never let yourself believe your small spaces can’t be amazing. See this entryway solution for a small space. Click here.
From Bedroom Nightstand to Bathroom Vanity

OMG. This one’s actually a revival I did for myself! Sometimes guilt can make you do some crazy, beautiful things. See what I mean in the case of our new bathroom vanity, here.

Hot Pink & Chevron Desk & Hutch

If you aren’t hot pink and covered in chevron then you aren’t nearly as interesting as you could be and you probably won’t be invited to a tea party in this little girl room! If however, you aspire to awesomeness, you should click here.

Well! There you have it! The best of the best of my furniture revivals as determined by YOU. What do you think? Which is your favorite?
