I have always owned a Dremel. That probably doesn’t surprise you. But what might surprise you is that I haven’t always been as comfortable with power tools as I am these days. That’s why I’ve always loved the Dremel. It’s a powerful little tool that does an amazing amount of things but it’s small enough to not feel intimidating. I’m also betting you’ll be surprised by all of the things a Dremel can do!
Most days I use my Dremel for everyday (for me) practical uses. Like removing paint in tight spaces.
And when I had my Etsy shop making custom name plaques, I used it to pre-drill holes in my letters to prevent the wood from splitting.
But like I told you, the Dremel can do the work of several power tools. It can cut, carve, engrave, sand, grind, sharpen, clean and polish. It can even etch glass!
For real! I have never etched glass before this day. I was a little nervous working with glass like this for the first time. I don’t know why. I drilled my fair share of glass in my day. But the etching had me intimidated. {Probably because I was using cheap glass from the dollar store and I was worried I’d etch right through it! LOL}
I decided to film my very first attempt at glass etching. Check out the video below to see how it went!
