My favorite kind of decorating for the holidays is the kind I have to take down the minute Christmas is over. I love the look and smell of fresh greens around the house and I love not having that depressing feeling of taking down all the pretty things just because the holidays are over. Today I’m showing you how to make these simple and elegant wreaths from Rosemary or any fresh greenery of your choice.
You know my affinity for finding pretty clippings of green things from the yard and dressing up the house in fresh florals…for FREE! It’s especially exciting when I manage to grow said greenery myself which I am not always successful at.
And after I found this amazing plant growing along the side of my dirt road, with it’s Christmasy green leaves and red stems, I realized I should totally make use my huge Rosemary bushes I had finally managed grow after all of those years of trying. Who doesn’t love the smell of fresh Rosemary? And did you know that Rosemary can be used for it’s insecticidal and pain relieving properties. Plus, it’s great for respiratory health, which is ideal for the flu winter season. I even use it in my chicken coop!
Today I’m over at Real Housemoms.com showing you how create these simple but festive and festive but not too holiday-ish wreaths. So if you and your home could use some pepping up during the long winter season hop on over to see the tutorial. Don’t have Rosemary? No problem. This method will work with any greenery of your choice! Find the tutorial here: DIY Rosemary Wreaths.
